How a few stuck bumpers in the monsoon mud turned into Pathanamthitta’s own off-road crew.
Our Story
PTA Off Roaders began the way most rescue stories do — with someone stuck. A group of Pathanamthitta drivers kept running into each other on the same waterlogged estate roads and forest tracks, kept pulling each other’s Jeeps and pickups out of the same mud, and eventually figured they may as well do it on purpose.
What started as informal weekend convoys grew into a standing club with a name, a patch, and a reputation: if a vehicle is stuck anywhere near Pathanamthitta, there’s a good chance a PTA member’s phone is already ringing.
Our Mission
We exist for three things, in this order: get people out on real trails safely, get vehicles (and people) out of trouble when the terrain wins, and keep our machines — and our skills — sharp enough to do both.
That’s not just theory. Our crews have stood alongside the Motor Vehicles Department during flash flooding, pulling stranded vehicles out of rising water when it mattered most. Every rally has a recovery plan before it has a route, every new member gets paired with an experienced hand, and every garage session is open to anyone who wants to learn what’s under their own bonnet.
